The Wines from Setriolo

The wines, a Chianti Classico and a IGT Toscano Rosso, are made exclusively with estate-grown grapes. They must express the characteristics of territory and reality of countryside, which are not identical each vintage. For this reason Chianti Classico Riserva is only made in the better vintages.

OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT

The vineyards grow in land-type franc-argillaceous declivities and are followed in such way to allow every plant an optimal development to enhance the quality of the grapes.

SANGIOVESE AND MERLOT

The grape variety is Sangiovese, with one small presence of Merlot and Alicante B. The way the vines are grown is “spurred cordon” and “alberello a parete”. All the fields are managed in organic farming.

HEALTHY AND RIPE GRAPES

The management in field, with particular respect of the plants and the nature, allows us to obtain high quality ripe grapes which create a wine that reflects the character of our farm.

TEAM WORK

Cellar work is done by the owners with help of a wine master. It is supervised by a winemaker, so as to obtain the best expression and valorization of the final product.
